Project criteria

The projects funded by EUROPEANS FOR PEACE should fulfil the following criteria:

Theme content

The theme of the call for applications is a key feature of the project work.

International collaborative working

The project is planned, carried out and evaluated jointly by the international project partners. The opinions and experiences of all project partners are integrated into the concept.

Experience of everyday life

The issues raised the question of the project and the way it is carried out are oriented towards the interests and opportunities of the young participants. The project is developed out of the project partners’ immediate environment.

Process orientation

The projects reflect learning processes and experiences throughthe participative and intercultural form of the project work.

Results orientation

The project work should be focused on a result which will be presented to a wider public audience.

Sustainability and transfer

The joint nature of the project enables intensification and reinforcement of the partnership. Tips are given for long-term involvement in the chosen topic. Democratic value orientation is encouraged among the participants. The effects of the project extend beyond the group of participants.

Intergenerational dialogue

Encounters and discussions with historical witnesses to the war and the Nazi period are actively encouraged, where these occur in the historical field and are relevant to the project topic. Intergenerational dialogue and encounter can also take place in projects based on the present, if it seems relevant.
