Europeans for Peace

In its EUROPEANS FOR PEACE programme, the Foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future” (EVZ) promotes international school and youth projects. Young people from Germany, the countries of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe and Israel actively explore historical and present-day human rights issues.

The programme supports international partnerships between schools and/ or non-school organisations. EUROPEANS FOR PEACE strengthens historical awareness and bolsters the active commitment of young people.

The programme was initiated in 2005 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Since then, more than 400 transnational projects have been funded with a total of 5.7 million Euro.
